Personal Training for Prenatal & Postpartum Women on the Pilates Reformer in the Lake Oswego, West Linn, and SW Portland area!
Private Reformer sessions assist Moms-to-be with stretching and strengthening safely through each tri-mester, and during the postpartum period.
Pregnant women are ideal candidates for Pilates because Kegel exercises can be incorporated. Kegel exercises help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles which are needed for pushing and delivery. Private sessions are specifically designed for a safe and effective workout during each trimester for prenatal women.
New Moms are also ideal candidates for Pilates because of the effects that pregnancy and motherhood has on the spine, posture, and pelvic floor muscles. After childbirth, women need to rehabilitate their pelvic floor muscles to avoid the onset of stress urinary incontinence, and other complications. Private sessions help postpartum women gently recover from childbirth. Specific modifications are also given for women recovering from a C-section.
As a new Mom, Clare knows how important it is to prepare for childbirth by strengthening the pelvic floor muscles and has completed workshops on Prenatal Fitness.
Participants use the Pilates Reformer machine or perform mat exercises. Receive personalized attention on how to do exercises with proper form. Morning, evening, & Saturday sessions available by appointment.
